Taking Apart Images - Part 2 - Self Portrait as an Act by Albrecht Durer

Self Portrait as an Act circa 1507 by Albrecht Durer is a rather quick study since the only piece I'm concerned with is his unterhosen (underwear) or braies... Well, that's all there is to be frank.  This piece is said to have been produced in Bremen.

Unterhosen of this construction appear to be fairly simple.  It shows a single tie on the right hip with what I'm assuming is a continuous string/hem/band going around the entire waist attached to, what I will call, a loincloth.  It would be interesting to figure out how the loincloth area itself is made if you want to keep everything in place and not cause chafing.
